The Viberg Navvy Boot in Black Alpine Calf is a newer derby-styled pattern built on their Cantilever (1004) last, featuring an anatomical fit modeled after a vintage orthopedic shoe. The result is a low volume pair that closely bends and curves with your feet for a snug fit. The Black Alpine Calf is a full-grain leather from Annonay Tannery in France, and with its uniform grain and formality, makes this an excellent pair to transition into and out of the office, and for more formal occasions.
Sizing: The Viberg Cantilever (1004) Navvy Boot is an odd last - as far as sizing goes - in the lineup of Viberg lasts. Viberg recommends taking the same size as your Brannock size, and our experience with this last confirms this. This means if you have a well-fitting Service Boot in 2030/1035 last, you will want to take another 0.5 or possible 1 size up from your 2030/1035 size in this Cantilever last, depending on what your Brannock size is.
