The Viberg Engineer Boot Nero Teacore Horsebutt comes in a beautiful black horsebutt leather from the famed Maryam tannery in Italy. This pull-on boot is equipped with a traditional brass roller-buckle instep strap to lock down the heel, and a matching buckle at the top collar to adjust the calf fit. This build features their premium Vachetta Lucida horsebutt leather—a vegetable-tanned leather that is struck with a rich, jet-black aka "Nero" top layer while leaving the core a natural, warm golden-brown. As the boots flex and collect hard miles, this black surface will gradually scuff, wear away, and yield to the underlying brown tones, producing a striking, high-contrast teacore patina unique to your gait.
Horsebutt pairs tend to feature unique and variegated grain, a leather that is not consistent in appearance. If you prefer a pair that is consistent in its appearance, we'd recommend passing on this style.
Packaging Note: Viberg packages these Engineer Boots in a brown cardboard box (see photos). All other packaging materials are the same (tissue, dust bags, info flyer).
Sizing: The Viberg 2005 last Service Boot is similarly sized as many of their boots. We recommend taking one size down from your Brannock size.
