The Flat Head Waffle Knit Long-Sleeve Thermal in Navy is a comfortable and excellent warming layer that is soft and stretchy, and can be versatile as both a base layer or as your primary layer. Constructed with their triple-needle stitched collar for a tight neck-opening, these have a beautiful micro-waffle structure with high elasticity in the body to make this comfortable in the width (chest/torso), but still appropriate in the length without shrinking or stretching too much. These are constructed with a 1960s Union Special flat seam machine for the side-seams, making this an excellent thermal that will lay flat against your body with no bumps.
These have a softer feel than most thermals and due to the close knit micro-waffle structure, it feels more like a soft-thin sweater than a thermal.
Note: These generally run small, recommend sizing up at least one or two sizes depending on how you want it to fit. The body measurements may look small (especially in the chest), but the width will easily stretch accordingly. We would recommend going by the shoulder measurement for selecting your size, as well as taking into account the length of the overall thermal.
Model: 6'0" and 175 lbs (currently closer to 165 lbs), wearing size 40 | L for a slim fit, with the sleeve lengths coming up a little short. The body length is okay for an under-layer, but is also more cropped than typical for what model wears. Model can and does prefer to wear size 42 | XL for the additional length and more room throughout. Especially at his normal weight of 175 lbs, he would go for size 42 | XL.
