The Studio D'Artisan SD-1101 Ishikawadai 1950s Regular Straight Selvedge Denim is a new style and made from original Ishikawadai denim. Ishikawadai denim is made at a significantly slower pace, on vintage spinning machines from 1953. The result is soft and gentle texture, and the indigo-dyeing process for this line of denim was intended to preserve this unique texture. This rendition of a vintage 1950s pair is made with texture and historical authenticity in mind. These pairs come in SDA's regular straight fit, a medium-to-high rise pair with a generally straight fit through the leg.
Note: These are unsanforized but one-washed, so expect little to no shrinkage with a cold wash and hang/lay-flat dry. With a warmer wash / soak, you may get additional shrinkage.
Model: 6'0'' and 175 lbs with moderate "lifter" thighs, wearing size 32 for a snug fit on the waist and a comfortable straight-fit through the legs.
