The Studio d'Artisan Indigo-dyed MA-1 Flight Jacket pays homage to the originals first produced in late 1940s to early 1950s, but with a distinctly Japanese take with its indigo pigment-dyed shell for a unique texture and finish. For this sewing of this jacket, SDA secured the capacity from a trusted factory that produces similar souvenir jackets for US Soldiers stationed in Japan after WWII. The ribbing on the bottom hem and the cuffs are made from circular knitting machines for a durable and comfortable fit.
Note: Generally runs closer to TTS. Recommend taking your typical American brand size if you prefer a slimmer fit, or opt for a size up if you want a more vintage and relaxed-fitting jacket. Note that the jacket is cut with generous room throughout in the body and arms.
