The Studio D'Artisan Amami-Mud Dyed Sashiko Pants in Dark Brown combines a trio of sashiko fabrics, rugged workwear styling, and traditional hand-dyed "Dorozome" techniques to create this dark and muted earthy dark brown colorway. These come in a hefty 17oz Bushu Sashiko fabric, woven on traditional shuttle looms, with a durable and sturdy hand. The mud-dye process is notable even now after they have been dried and rinsed (you may feel a bit of a powdery hand on the surface). These Sashiko pants are one-of-a-kind that can anchor your outfit and provide some utility and aesthetic to your wardrobe.
Note: These come in their regular straight cut and generally run slightly small. We recommend taking your typical Japanese denim size, or possibly sizing up one; please double check measurements. Due to the dye process, most of the shrinkage has been removed; expect little to no shrinkage with a cold wash and hang/lay-flat dry.
Model: 6'0'' and 175 lbs (currently closer to 165 lbs), with moderate "lifter" thighs, wearing size 32 for a snug fit on the waist and a comfortable straight-fit through the legs.
