The Rite Stuff Uncle Sam Work Shirt in a Tan Chambray is close reproduction of the E-Z Reach Uncle Sam work shirts produced in 1937. This specific work work features a pocketed model with a unique double-cigarette pocket as the stand-out detail on this vintage shirt. The double-cigarette pocket was meant to hold the cigarettes in the front, and additional items in the rear compartment, with the rear compartment (and item) acting as an extra layer to keep the cigarettes dry.
The Rite Stuff uses triple-stitched construction on the main seams, period-correct 1930s-style collar, and 1930s style, custom vegetable ivory (corozo) buttons. The fabric is a 4.69oz Japanese-milled organic cotton selvedge chambray fabric that is light in weight, but has a decent sturdiness to the fabric.
Note: Generally runs TTS for a slim fit. We recommend taking your typical tops size in American brands for a slim fit; or if you own the Rite Stuff's Heracles or Atlas shirts, you can take the same size.
Model: 6'0" and 175 lbs (currently closer to 170 lbs) wearing size M for a slim fit, with decent room to move around in. At 175 lbs, model would likely still take size M but would just be a bit snug in some areas.
