The Iron Heart Slubby Heavy Flannel (SHF) feature a 12oz Japanese brown herringbone check flannel that has a ton of texture and irregular slub to it. Due to this, it has a unique rugged bent to their otherwise rather clean looking flannels. Like Iron Heart's Ultra Heavy Flannels, these are still double brushed on the interior for that soft and warm feel you've come to know and love. Designed as an overshirt, this cut is an ideal winter layering piece, worn either as an outer or mid layer.
Note: These generally run larger than usual for Iron Heart flannels, but do run closer to American brand sizing. Accordingly, we recommend taking your typical American brand size, or one size down from your typical Iron Heart shirt size, if you are a slimmer build or prefer a slimmer fitting (but still comfortable) flannel; however, if you are on the larger end of your size or prefer a more comfortable-relaxed fit, stick with your usual Iron Heart size (i.e. one size up from your American size). Cold wash, hang dry.
Model: 6'0'' and 175 lbs, wearing size M (his typical American brand size) for a comfortable-slim fit. Compared to other UHFs, model finds this Work Overshirt (M) style to fit slimmer than the Work Shirt (L) style, but roomier than the Western Shirt (L) style.
