The Iron Heart 17oz Natural Indigo Selvedge Denim in their IH-888 High Rise Tapered Cut. These are made from a natural indigo/organic cotton selvedge denim, where the natural indigo dyeing process is more labor and time-consuming than modern indigo dyeing processes, resulting in a unique pair of denim in their lineup. The result is a unique shade of indigo that will fade a bit slower than their other indigo denim, but will still show character with wears and washes.
Iron Heart's 888 cut features a medium/high rise with a roomy top block and space in the thighs. If you're one for a comfortable fit but still want a respectable taper, you'll find the 888 cut perfect for you.
Note: These are sanforized and one-washed, so expect little to no shrinkage. Denim will stretch about 1" in the waist after breaking in. For those who like slim fitting jeans, upon first wear the top button should be hard to button-up.
Model: 6'0'' and 175 lbs with moderate "lifter" thighs, wearing size 32 for a very tight/snug fit on the waist and slim fit through the top block. The waist should stretch out with wear, but it is very snug. For a more comfortable fit from the start, model would probably opt for the size 33.
