Gitman’s Black Japanese silk denim button-down comes in a black color way that gives the shirt a little more weight and character. You can say it leans more towards a black-stone than a classic, universal black. The fabric is scattered with small clusters of yarn that break through the surface, leaving behind a nep, snowy texture that enhances the regularity of a button down shirt as a unique piece. Although stated as a silk blend, the garment feels more cotton heavy than it might suggest. The cut has enough length to sit comfortably tucked in, but works just as well left loose.
Note: Generally runs TTS. Most folks should take your typical tops size for a slim fit. Although these are pre-washed, you may experience more shrinkage if using machine wash and machine dry. We recommend cold wash, hang dry to maintain current sizing.
Model: 6'0" and 175 lbs (currently closer to 165 lbs) wearing size M (his TTS) for a comfortable fit, neither too slim nor too relaxed.
