UES Extra Heavy Flannels (EHF) are about as heavy as they get for a solidly built flannel. These yarn-dyed flannels feature a sturdy, yet soft hand, with a brushed interior and a smoother/softer exterior relative to their Heavy Flannels. These are intended to be worn like an overshirt / outer-layer, and the hem piping and large check pattern all lends itself to this purpose. These feature selvedge detailing on one side of the placket, triple chainstitch side seams, and horn buttons.
Note: Runs slightly small. Most should take one size up from your typical tops size, or take the same size as you do in Japanese brands (e.g. if you wear a M in most American brands, take a L in this). These are once washed so there is minimal shrinkage expected. Cold wash, hang dry.
Model: 6'0" and 175 lbs wearing size 3 | L (one size up from TTS, M) for a comfortable and slightly relaxed fit. The EHFs, relative to their Heavy Flannels, fit a tad larger, so keep this in mind if you already own a Heavy Flannel and are considering the EHF (you may be the same size, but possibly could size down if you prefer a slimmer fit or if you are on the smaller end of your size). That said, these are intended to be more like an overshirt, so most customers should probably stick with the same size. As always, we recommend checking the measurements as an additional data point.
