The Denime Lot 231XX-47 denim jacket is a reproduction of the original Levi's Type I Denim Jacket from 1947. Using their XX denim, which uses a custom-woven blend of brown cotton and a reproduction of the original American cotton used at the time, to create a beautiful indigo fabric with a subtle brown cast underneath. The 1947 model reintroduces the pocket flap on the singular chest pocket, a nod towards the end of WWII.
Note: These are unsanforized and will shrink upon wash. We generally find these jackets to fit a little large when taking your typical American brand size. After shrinkage, the jacket should fit like a slim fitting jacket. DENIME recommends accounting for about 1-1.5" shrinkage in the chest and shoulders, and 1.5-2.5" shrinkage in the sleeve and body length.
Model: 6'0" and 175 lbs wearing size 40 | L for a relaxed fit. Currently the jacket is unwashed, so the jacket will slim up a bit all-around after a wash. Model typically wears size M in American brands. For a slimmer fit, model would likely opt for size 38 | M, which should fit just fine for a slim fit after wash.
