The Denime Lot 233-66M Type III Mother Cotton Denim Jacket is a meticulously crafted piece modeled after the iconic vintage Type III jacket. This updated version blends historical accuracy with subtle refinements, including a slimmer silhouette and classic details like pointed pocket flaps and front triangle stitching.
This edition of the Lot 233 is made with Denime’s exclusive Mother Cotton fabric—a brown cotton blend denim that recreates the look and feel of their legendary “Banner Denim.” Woven by Kurabo Mills, this 7.3oz x 7.3oz unsanforized fabric leaves the warp threads undyed, resulting in a natural, earthy tone and a dry, textured hand. Over time, the jacket develops unique fading patterns, especially along the flat-felled seams at the armholes, a distinctive feature that echoes vintage construction methods from the original Type III models.
Note: These are unsanforized and will shrink upon wash. We generally find these jackets to fit a little large when taking your typical American brand size. After shrinkage, the jacket should fit like a slim fitting jacket. DENIME recommends accounting for about 1-1.5" shrinkage in the chest and shoulders, and 1.5-2.5" shrinkage in the sleeve and body length.
Model: 6'0", 175 lbs wearing size 38 | M for a comfortable fit, slightly roomy/oversized. Given shrinkage and that the jacket is unwashed, the jacket should fit a little more form-fitting after wash. Model typically wears size M in American brands.
