The Pure Blue Japan XX-019 Indigo Relaxed Tapered Selvedge Denim are made from their flagship 14oz denim showcasing its beautifully irregular slub texture. Woven on low-tension shuttle looms, PBJ creates a masterpiece in irregular and slubby fabric. The Relaxed Tapered cut features a medium rise and a quite-tapered fit through the legs. These come pre-rinsed for minimal guessing on sizing, and a broken-in feel from the start.
Please note that like most of PBJ's denim, these have a significant leg twist; if this type of thing bothers you we would recommend looking at other denim.
Note: Generally runs small and you may need to size up, especially if you have larger thighs/top block. Also note that the taper through the calves and leg opening is quite strong. We recommend double checking the size chart, but it's likely you may need to size up from your typical denim size. These pairs come pre-rinsed from the factory, so expect minimal shrinkage with wear/washes. Due to the low tension weave of this fabric, the denim will likely stretch at least 0.5" (flat measurement) in the waist.
Model: 6'0" and 175 lbs size 33 for a comfortable fit on the waist, and slightly snug fit through the thighs and legs. This Relaxed Taper cut is not necessarily the best cut for the model due to his larger thighs. Model typically wears size 32 in most denim, but wearing a size 32 in the XX-019-ID is way too tight in the thighs and too small in the waist. Model would definitely go with the size 33 in this pair if he picked up this cut.
