The Flat Head 40’s Type I Denim Jacket is based on the simplified “WWII” jackets produced under material restrictions during the early to mid-1940s. Flat Head's denim jackets excel in taking queues from the originals, but making the fit a bit more modern for today, with its longer body and less boxy fit. Made from lightweight 12oz denim, it offers the feel and versatility of an overshirt while retaining classic period details. The indigo warp yarns and irregular slub construction will produce a textured, high-contrast fade with regular wear and washing. Distinctive details include a cinch-back, laurel donut buttons, a flapless chest pocket, and pleats across the back for improved mobility.
Note: The Flat Head FN-OJ-SD001 jacket runs small. We recommend sizing up at least one or two sizes from your typical American brand tops size. These are once-washed, so minimal shrinkage is expected. However, on high heat and extensive machine dry, you may experience additional shrinkage.
Mode: 6'0" and 175 lbs (currently closer to 165 lbs) wearing size 42 | XL for a comfortable fit, with room to layer underneath or for a more relaxed look. Model typically prefers a fit a tad more slim, so at 165 lbs he probably would opt for the size 40 | L. At 175 lbs, model generally would prefer the size 42 | XL for the additional space.
