Merz b. Schwanen's 214 Tee in White is a relaxed version of their popular 215 tee, using the same 2-thread fabric but with a slightly wider chest and roomier arms. This clean white tee clocks in at 245 gr (8.6oz) and is made out of 100% pure organic cotton. As usual with Merz knits, it features a round crew neckline and a triangle insert under the armpit for maximum comfort. Made on original loopwheelers in Germany-one of two remaining loopwheeler operations in the world, the result is a seamless tubular fabric that will be your most comfortable tee.
Note: This is Merz's Relaxed Fit, which fits a little larger than their Classic Fit. We recommend still taking one size up for a relaxed fitted look, but you may be able to take your typical tops size (rather than sizing up) if you want a slim fit or if you are on the smaller end of your size. However, double check the measurements for the chest and length to make sure you've got the right size. The garment will shrink about 1" in length after wash, with less shrinkage in the chest. Model: 6'0'' and 175 lbs (currently closer to 170 lbs) wearing size 6 | L (one size up from his typical American brand size M) for a relaxed fit. Model can also take a size down (5 | M) for a slim fit that is quite tight/constricted around the armpits and chest; the length also comes up a little short in the 5 | M. Model generally prefers the size 5 | M for the slimmer fit, but is borderline too small. If model was at 175 lbs, it would definitely be too tight.
Model: Model is 6'0'' and 175 lbs. wearing size 6 | L (one size up from his regular TTS, M) for a relaxed fit with generous room in the chest and sleeves. Expect shrinkage after wash.
Measurement Note: Due to the irregularities characteristic of loopwheelers, there will be slight variations within each size. Accordingly, the measurements posted are general targets that we've found to be the average or each size. If you are more particular about the sizing, or know that you need one with a specific measurement within a size, feel free to leave a note at check-out indicating your measurement preference. In general, we do not find the irregularities significant enough to impact the size you should wear.
