The Barnstormer 1955UC 2 Pleated Chino Trousers in Beige are based on WWII-era U.S. Army Officer Chinos and those worn by General MacArthur. The 1955UC is the American-fit version of their popular 2 Pleated Chinos, featuring the distinctive double pleated front, but with an even higher rise and more of a straight fit through the legs (with a slight taper). These have been given a pre-rinse for a softer hand from the start.
These pants come in at a longer length and unhemmed at the bottom to allow for a custom fit (you will need to hem these with your local tailor).
Note: The Barnstormer 1955UC comes in their American fit, which is a fuller cut in the top block and roomier fit through their legs, relative to their Japan fit. Accordingly, these generally run slightly large, and due to the higher rise, it may not be uncommon for you to take a size or two down from your typical pants size. Please double check measurements. These are cut with a high rise, roomy top block - due to the pleats - with a modest straight fit through the legs (slight taper). These are one-washed so you should expect minimal shrinkage going forward. Cold wash and hang-dry.
Model: 6'0'' and 175 lbs with moderate "lifter" thighs, wearing size 30 (two sizes down from his typical pants size, 32) for a solid fit on the waist and a modest straight fit through the legs. See model wearing size 31 in the Olive and Navy - in size 31 the waist is loose and definitely would need to wear a belt. Model definitely needs to size down to a 30 due to his slimmer waistline.
