Iron Heart's flagship 21oz indigo selvedge Japanese Denim is known for its supremely soft feel, despite its impressive weight. The IH-555 cut is a medium-to-low rise denim with a slim cut throughout the legs. While the 21oz fabric might seem a bit too much for you, these break-in unbelievably well to make for a comfortable yet sturdy pair of denim. We like to compare these to a more comfortable pair of 16-17oz denim based on how they feel and soften up. Shown here with the Viberg for Withered Fig Mocha Light Oil Tan Country Boots.
Note: These are sanforized and one-washed, so expect little to no shrinkage. Denim will stretch about 1" in the waist after breaking in. For those who like slim fitting jeans, upon first wear the top button should be hard to button-up. We note that Iron Heart describes the 555 cut as a medium-to-high rise cut, but given the slim thigh and legs, for many these may end up being a medium-to-low rise due to the inability to have the pair sit higher on the waist (due to being constricted at the thighs). Accordingly, if you have slender legs/thighs, these might actually be a higher-rise for you as they will sit higher on the waist and not be constricted by the crotch and thigh area.
