The 3sixteen x Alpha Industries M-59 Fishtail Parka features a unique indigo-dyed herringbone twill fabric from Japan and the first time that an Alpha Industries outerwear has been made in the USA since the 1990's. The jacket is a modern take on the original Fishtail Parka that was first developed in 1951. The parka's "Fishtail" naming comes from the split skirt tail that resembles a fish, which can be snapped into the parka when not needed. The original intent was for the fishtail was to be wrapped around a soldier's leg for additional protection from the elements.
