Iron Heart and Simmons Bilt Horsehide collaboration returns in a Natural Blattwerk® horsehide, notable for its natural and sustainable processing techniques to produce this leather. This horsehide leather has a slight velvety feel and is lined on the interior yoke with a cotton sateen. Unlike some of their other collaborations, this one is super lightweight and is going to fit like a glove from the start - no break-in period needed.
Coming in its natural state and as a blank canvas, this will take on all the character you throw at it - whether intentional or not. his horsehide jacket features a slimmer fit through the body and a tapered silhouette. As expected, these come with oversized copper snap fastenings for its button placket and chest pockets. Due to the nature of this being a natural horsehide product, there may be variation from piece to piece.
'Blattwerk® horsehide leather is tanned using olive leaves as a by-product of the olive harvest. Further, the tanning agent is 100% sustainable and gently refines the leather to give it a velvety smooth feel.
Note: Generally runs small. We recommend taking one size up from your typical American brand tops size for a comfortable-slim fit. For cleaning, spot clean with soft dry cloth. For more thorough cleaning, using a mild soap and gently wipe down the leather. Never soak the leather. Use typical leather conditioners for horsehide only when needed.
